The Strength of Our Engineering
Our solution-oriented approach begins with an experienced engineering staff, capable of developing the right cylinder to meet your specific application requirements. Our staff will work with you on-site to gather data detailing your application requirements, then complete a preliminary design using solid modeling software for your approval.

Our design and manufacturing capabilities range from 1-inch to 8-inch bore cylinders with stroke lengths of up to 151-inches and pressure ratings to 5000 PSI. We can provide special design considerations for internal valving, external valve manifolding, cylinder rephasing, cartridge valves, high cycle rates, environmental conditions or special fluid conditions to ensure superior performance. The result will be a custom designed cylinder that meets your specific performance requirements.

Manufacturing Muscle
Our 30,000-square-foot facility in Tallmadge, Ohio, features advanced technology in manufacturing. Our “lean manufacturing flow lines” include CNC lathes, vertical CNC machining centers, semi-automatic welding lathes and manual machines capable of continuous-flow manufacturing.

This method increases large and small-volume throughput, creating efficiency that gives you a high-quality cylinder with shorter lead-times at a competitive price.

Waltco Hydraulics pays careful attention to the input as well. Suppliers of raw materials and components are qualified to meet rigid traceability standards and delivery schedules and to collaborate with our engineers on product development and continuous product improvement.

Rigorous Testing
Continuous testing and long-term improvement evaluations are key to the success of custom cylinder solutions. Waltco Hydraulics can design and build prototype cylinders quickly for field-testing and evaluation.

All production and prototype cylinders are 100-percent pressure tested after assembly, and tested to meet ISO 17/14 cleanliness specifications. After each cylinder passes pressure and leak testing, it is date coded, providing positive identification and product accountability that lowers your risk.
