Cylinders

Pressure Ratings:
Designs to 5,000 PSI
Bore Sizes: 1” bore to 8” bore
End Configurations: Choose the rod end and base mount configuration to meet your specific application
Barrels: Hydrostatically tested and honed 1026 D.O.M.
Rods: 1045 and 1050 cold drawn or induction hardened. Hard-chrome plated for corrosion resistance
Pistons & Glands: Ductile iron or high-strength aluminum. Glands can be either O.D. threaded, I.D. threaded or round ring steel retained
Seals: Piston, rod and wiper seals are selected to provide superior performance for pressure requirements to 5,000 PSI, life-cycle requirements, environmental conditions and fluid compatibility requirements.
Special Requirements: Hydraulic Rams, stop tubes, special porting, internal valving, external valve blocks, cartridge valves, spring loading, special materials and special chrome plating.

Options

Round Ring Retained Gland:
Features a gland retained with spring steel that has been a standard, cost-effective WALTCO Hydraulics design
O.D. Threaded Gland:
Features a gland retained by an O.D. threaded collar. This style is an optional design for extreme-duty cycle applications.
I.D. Threaded Gland:
Features an I.D. threaded gland threaded into a heavy wall tube and is an optional design feature for high-pressure applications and extreme duty cycle applications with limited space requirements.

Custom Solutions

WALTCO Hydraulics Engineering Team has experience in designing hydraulic pressure and load-holding cartridge valve solutions into your application, making your hydraulic system design simpler and less costly to install. Internal bypass valving can be built into your cylinder to control maximum end of stroke force. Cartridge valve cavities can be designed as an integral part of your cylinder or a cartridge valve block can be attached to a cylinder with integral piping to provide pressure or load- holding capability. This design convenience can eliminate the need for some external valves and piping to reduce your installation time and components to increase your profitability.

End Configurations

Base-end and Rod-end configurations can be designed to fit any application or space requirement to make your design process easier. Bearings can be pressed in to cross tubes and cross-holes, or customer provided assemblies can be attached to rod- or base-end fittings during our assembly process to provide “point of use” attachment on your equipment to reduce installation time and increase your profitability.
